This year’s auction theme is ‘GAINING STEAM Ahead,’ appropriately named to recognize and support the school’s future implementation of a STEAM Lab. STEAM is an educational discipline that aims to spark an interest and lifelong love of the arts and sciences in children from an early age. Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math will empower SJV teachers to employ project-based learning that crosses each of the five disciplines, and fosters an inclusive learning environment in which all students are able to engage and contribute. A large portion of the proceeds from this year’s auction will be used to establish SJV’s STEAM lab, which will continue to evolve and grow our school’s rich tradition of educating compassionate, knowledgeable students to follow the path of Jesus Christ.
