Totus tuus (totally yours) was St John Paul II’s papal motto.   He held consecration to Mary in such high esteem that he let her be his guide to his pontificate.  You can experience this same powerful spiritual grace through Marian consecration.

The word “consecrate” means to be formally dedicated to a religious or Divine purpose.  Marian consecration is a long-standing tradition in the Catholic Church, which involves consecrating oneself to Jesus through Mary.  Typically, there are 33 days of specific prayers leading up to the consecration day, and the consecration process culminates on a Marian feast day.  For example, to celebrate a consecration day on the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (August 15), you would start consecration prayers on July 13.
