  1. Join us for an in-depth study of the pastoral letter against racism written by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 2018.

About this Event

In this four week study of Open Wide Our Hearts: The Enduring Call to Love: a pastoral letter against racism, we will pray through, reflect upon, and act upon the message of this pastoral letter written by the USCCB in November of 2018. This study will be a hybrid opportunity. That means we will meet in-person following social distancing guidelines for those who prefer to meet in-person, and for the people who prefer to meet virtually, there will be an option to join the meeting of their choice simultaneously via Zoom. There will be three times to join: Wednesdays from 10:00 – 11:30 am, beginning on September 23, 2020; Thursdays from 7:00 – 8:30 pm, beginning on September 24, 2020; Saturdays from 7:30 -9:00 am, beginning on September 26, 2020. Please choose one group to join, and indicate which way you would like to participate (in person or virtually). Zoom can be accessed through computer, tablet, smartphone, or landline. Cost is free. To register, click here.  The document can be read using the following link: Open Wide Our Hearts.

  1. Fulfilled – Join us for this new 12-part series by Christopher West.

About this Event

In this life-changing series, Christopher West takes you on an eye-opening tour of the first pillar of the Catechism of the Catholic Church – beginning with the “ache” of human longing and ending with a vision of the Creed like you’ve never heard – and in the process demonstrates beyond any shadow of a doubt that Christianity is not the backward list of prohibitions it is so often assumed to be. Rather it’s the religion of desire that holds out to us the hope of infinite bliss and fulfillment. This study will be a hybrid opportunity. That means we will meet in-person following social distancing guidelines for those who prefer to meet in-person, and for the people who prefer to meet virtually, there will be an option to join the meeting of their choice simultaneously via Zoom.  There will be three times to join: Wednesdays from 10:00 – 11:30 am, beginning on October 21, 2020; Thursdays from 7:00 – 8:30 pm, beginning on October 22, 2020; Saturdays from 7:30 -9:00 am, beginning on October 24, 2020. Please choose one group to join and in which way you would like to participate (in person or virtually). Zoom can be accessed through computer, tablet, smartphone, or landline. Registration is free, but there will be a donation cost of $10 for the study guide, payable to St. John Vianney on the first day/night. To register, click here.  If you wish to attend virtually, please stop in to the parish office during business hours to pay.
